Who We Are

Nicholas

Nicholas is a dedicated and experienced wedding officiant who has joyfully performed over 500 weddings. As a US Navy veteran, minister, and pastor, he embraces all types of weddings and firmly believes in nondiscrimination.

Originally from Flint, Michigan, and Port St. Lucie, Florida, Nicholas met his loving wife, Katie, in 2008 and they tied the knot in 2009. Proud parents of two sons, Evander and Belamy-John, they adopted their son Cassian from foster care and are working on learning ASL to communicate with him. Who knows, we might offer ASL in our weddings in the future!

As medical foster parents, they have had many placements over the course of the year. In addition to his human family, Nicholas is a proud dog parent to Phoebe Fettuccine.

Nicholas and Katie passionately advocate for foster care and adoption, donating a significant portion of their officiating profits to the Augusta Birth Center, a 501(c)(3) organization they jointly direct. This business, deeply rooted in supporting families with special needs children, approaches every ceremony with exceptional compassion and empathy. When working with Nicholas, you can rest assured that he will craft a ceremony that mirrors your unique love story and venerates your family values.

Jonathan

Meet Jonathan, a talented and compassionate wedding officiant serving Columbia, SC, and the CSRA region. With a unique background as an actor, including a notable appearance on The Walking Dead, Jonathan brings creativity, authenticity, and a personal touch to his work. He joined our team full-time in 2023 after an enriching period of shadowing Nicholas in 2022. As a versatile marriage officiant, he offers services ranging from traditional wedding ceremonies and elopements to personalized vow renewals and civil weddings.

Whether you need last-minute arrangements or comprehensive guidance on your wedding ceremony, Jonathan is your dependable choice. He is dedicated to making your special day memorable with a personalized ceremony that reflects your love story.

Katie

Meet Katie, a dedicated Officiant, Marriage License Signer for all Georgia counties, an officiant, and a skilled Pre-Marital Counselor. Originally from the UK, Katie moved to the USA to marry Nicholas, sharing her life with their two biological children and a foster child. Katie is a staunch advocate for women's rights, tirelessly working with local politicians to expand women's medical freedom, particularly concerning birthplace choices.

In addition to her family and community roles, Katie successfully manages several local companies.

Despite her busy schedule, she generously lends her expertise to Augusta Officiant, assisting with social media management and handling back-office channels.

Katie's multifaceted experience and steadfast dedication enrich Columbia Officiant with a unique blend of professionalism, empathy, and advocacy.

Achi

Meet Achi, a devoted Marriage License Signer for all counties in Georgia and South Carolina, an accomplished officiant, and a proficient Notary Public.

With a Spanish-speaking background, Achi is in the USA pursuing her dreams of becoming a nurse while also serving as our Spanish-speaking officiant.

Achi is deeply committed to her community, skillfully balancing her responsibilities as a nursing student and an officiant. Her passion for public service extends beyond the altar as she advocates for equal access to healthcare, particularly within her nursing studies. She significantly contributes to our team by handling Spanish-language inquiries and assisting with notarial services.

Achi's diverse experience and unwavering commitment to her roles provide Augusta Officiant with an invaluable mix of professionalism, compassion, and dedication, effectively bridging the language gap for our Spanish-speaking clients.

Making A Difference

A portion of the sales are donated to the development of the new Augusta Birth Center - a 501c3 that helps women with birth, postpartum, and mental health support.
